The official privateer mens costume consists of:


  • Krewe vest (mandatory)
  • Black pants only
  • White shirt only
  • Black boots or black boot covers (mandatory)
  • Black hat or black skull cap or black bandana (mandatory)
  • Gold sash (optional)
  • Gold earring (optional)
  • Black bead bag (optional)
  • Tattoos or make-up (optional) Note: most do not wear make-up it tends to be messy
  • Official krewe bead (optional) Note: most do wear

The official privateer womens costume consists of:

  • Royal Blue corset (under or over bust) or female vest (mandatory)
  • Black pants, or black leggings
  • Black skirt (to be approved for 2018 season)
  • White shirt only (with under or over bust)
  • Black boots or black boot covers (mandatory)
  • Black hat or black skull cap or black bandana or nothing
  • Gold sash or Gold Coin Sash (optional)
  • Gold earring (optional)
  • Black bead bag (optional)
  • Tattoos or make-up (optional)
  • Official krewe bead (optional)

Children's day parade

  • Male children shall be dressed in black pants and a white shirt (vest not required)
  • Female children shall be dressed in black pants or black skirt and a white shirt
  • Adults shall follow the same guest costume guidelines

Guest Costumes

Male guests: Men shall wear only black pants and a white shirt, black boots or black shoes (a loner vest shall be provided and shall be returned to sponsor member after dry cleaning.)

Female guests: Women shall be dressed in black pants or black skirt and a white shirt with black boots.

No other color combinations can be worn by male or female guests other than black, white or royal blue. (NO EXCEPTIONS)

All guests should consult with their sponsor member to be sure you are dressed correctly. You will not be able to participate in the parade if you do not conform to the above costume requirements.
